From the right...

The right-hand side hasn’t missed out on the laser-etched treatment either, with even more Fatal1ty logos adorning the panel. I say panel, but Zalman being true to its reputation, this is more of a 'cover' than a panel.

The main ‘panel’ is another ‘void-your-warranty’ removal job, but towards the front the 6” panel is removable.

Removing this panel isn’t easy, held in place with 6 allen-key bolts, it means you need an extra tool when building and looking after the Fatal1ty FC-ZE1.

Once the 6 bolts have been removed you can then remove the 0.5mm aluminium panel, although implementing the same slider as on the other side would have been a good idea as the panel itself is not easy to remove. We resorted to pushing it out from the inside and as its aluminium it’s wise to have a cloth to hand to stop any damage as you remove it.

Why do you have to go through all that? Well it’s the only way to access the right hand side of the drive bays, although, if like me you never screw in both sides of your optical drives then chances are you won’t need to use it.
