As you can see, it's a flat front with very little obvious detailing, a good thing in my book. I'm a fan of understated looks in a computer case, so the Centurion 5 gets my thumbs up. The case is available in a few colours, blue being the obvious one shipped to us. As an aside, look out for the new blue Wave Master soon, Cooler Master giving in and anodising it in the modders colour of choice.

The front of the case is aluminium mesh, holes punched through the drive bay covers and the entire front of the case for a free breathing design.

The bottom front of the case is houses the blue power and activity LEDs, the power and reset buttons and a collection of motherboard ports for USB (2 of), FireWire400 and mic and headphone audio output. A Roman centurion emblem rounds things off.

The black paint on the case sides is a deep matt effect. Overall, the case is a good looking specimen to my eyes, but of course your tastes might differ.

The case comes complete with power supply, a 350W effort with decent spec. 16A on the 12V+ rail is a little low for something like a VapoChill, but given its budget remit, it's none too shabby, on paper at least.

A 120mm fan has case exhaust duties with an A8025-18CB file bearing 80mm fan pulling in air from the front of the case, over the hard disk area. The front 80mm fan spins at 1800rpm with the spec offering a figure of 25dBA, a figure I'm inclined to believe in.

The mesh on the front of the case is air filtered by a brushable foam, Cooler Master thoughtfully understanding what thousands of holes in a case will do when dust attacks.

Let's take a peek inside.
