Notes

The list of processors gets longer. AMD recommended we test on a B550 chipset-based motherboard equipped with the latest supporting AGESA. That happens to be the Asus ROG Strix B550-E Gaming with the 2404 BIOS. It's worth knowing that the board shipped to us on an older BIOS dated April 2020. As expected, the Ryzen 7 5700G failed to boot on that firmware, so we had to manually flash the board for support. The point is you need to make sure the motherboard is running the very latest BIOS before putting this chip in.

We've also added the Ryzen 5 3400G for comparison purposes. Though the model numbering suggests otherwise, it uses the Zen+ CPU architecture, instead of presumed Zen 2, so expect it to be slower than expected in gaming and general tests. 5700G and 3400G use similar graphics. The former is equipped with 512 cores operating at a maximum 2.0GHz while the latter uses 704 cores running at 1.4GHz. AMD, therefore, has gone narrower and faster in a bid to save die space.
