Benchmarks: Single and Multi-Core

Running at the same speed as the Core i5-3570K any increases in this single-threaded test are down to improvements in throughput, which amounts to some 10 per cent. The new upper-mid-range processor is just over 15 per cent faster than the Core i5-2500K released over two years ago.

Cinebench gains are lower when compared against Ivy Bridge; Core i5-4670K is less than five per cent faster than a 3570K.

Hammering the cores for a longer period shows no real difference between the outgoing and incoming Core i5 models.
