Multi-Threaded Tests - Software 3D and Image Processing

Software 3D renderers and their atypical code makeup can be found in DCC apps, offline renderers, 3D simulators and the like. FP-heavy, moreso than any other type of common code, these tests give the multiple FPUs of modern processors a real hammering. These particular tests are also multi-threaded.

picCOLOR is our image analysis benchmark and uses a range of integer and FP calculations, often using the SIMD logic, to process image data for a wide range of applications.

Cinebench 2003

FX-62 overtakes the XE 965, with 62 @ 60 very slightly slower than 60, AM2 keeping up its end of the bargain with the new memory controller.

There's no single socket AMD chip out there that's catching high-clocked Netburst out there. At least not yet. The 62 vs 60 game plays out as expected.

picCOLOR v4.0

The 91.27 display driver actually reduces performance in picCOLOR, our multi-threaded image processing test using the display hardware now and again for certain tasks. Back when FX-60 was reviewed, it scored a 6.15, the fastest we've yet seen. Per clock performance is solid. We finish with some gaming tests.
