Gears of War 4

The latest instalment in the Gears of War series delivers heart-stopping action and the developers at The Coalition deserve genuine credit for proving that high-profile ports can be every bit as stunning as their console counterparts, if not more so.

Some titles favour GeForce, others Radeon. Gears of War 4 is one that runs better on the green team's hardware.

Interestingly, out at the Tech Day a short while back, AMD was at pains to tell the RX Vega and FreeSync story, pushing it as the optimum combination for the gamer who wants a smooth experience without spending the Earth.

Looking at the QHD results thus far, RX Vega performance falls into the wheelhouse of QHD FreeSync screens, which are typically cheaper than their G-Sync cousins and start at around £250 for a 27in model.
