Overclocking
So what else have you got under the hood, RX Vega? We overclocked both cards by delving into WattMan and having a play with the sliders. WattMan uses a combination of percentages and states to input speeds. The above screenshot of the RX Vega 64 actually shows the card running at a stable 1,957MHz core and 1,000MHz memory. The RX Vega 56 achieved an identical core speed and memory.
But you don't get a whole heap more performance from either card. We're therefore taking the 1,957MHz core speed with a pinch of salt, and AMD has already sent us an updated overclocking-specific driver that we're in the process of testing.
The really scary part is that at-wall power consumption goes beyond 500W for RX Vega 64.
