3DMark Time Spy and Stress Test

Rendered at a 2,560x1,440 QHD resolution and making use of DX12 technologies such as asynchronous compute, explicit multi-adapter and multi-threading, Time Spy is a forward-looking 3DMark benchmark that hints at GPU potential in various upcoming games.

The first two graphs show what happens when two GTX 1070 Ti cards run at the same speeds. The Founders Edition card is less than one per cent faster than the Inno3D, and both are approximately 10 per cent slower than a mildly overclocked GeForce GTX 1080.

Arguably the most interesting graph is the Stress Test, showing that, as we have seen before, the card's heatsink is not capable of keeping performance consistent under long-term load.

A 97 per cent figure is needed for a pass, so the 95.6 per cent is jarring when we see just how well the other cards do in the same evaluation. This run-to-run inconsistency will rear its head on the following pages to some degree, too.
