Rendered at a 2,560x1,440 QHD resolution and making use of DX12 technologies such as asynchronous compute, explicit multi-adapter and multi-threading, Time Spy is a forward-looking 3DMark benchmark that hints at GPU potential in various upcoming games.

We're seeing a 10 per cent gain over an already-overclocked RX 580. Part of that gain is attributable to the fact that the comparison Sapphire card doesn't keep to its boost 1.450MHz at all times. Rather, it fluctuates between 1,360MHz and 1,450MHz. On the other hand, the XFX Fatboy remains at a rock-solid 1,580MHz.

The cooling solutions is also definitely up to the job, evidenced by excellent run-to-run consistency.
