Power, Temperature and Noise

Sapphire reckons the new BIOS increases TGP to 160W; we reckon it's a bit more, as the difference between the two BIOSes is measured at a system-wide 17W.

Sapphire does a solid job in keeping the card cool. The base BIOS, for which it was ostensibly designed, runs at just 63°C, while the overclocked version pushes up temps to 73°C.

Best of all, there is no appreciable fan-speed increase between the two. The card is silent at low loads and barely audible at full chat. Our logs show interesting notes. The card goes from 0rpm to 1,200rpm quite quickly, then drops to a maximum 780rpm from the dual 95mm spinners when under prolonged load.

Want near-silent gaming from a decent card? The Sapphire RX 5600 XT Pulse offers just that.
