Rendered at QHD or UHD resolutions and making use of DX12 technologies such as asynchronous compute, explicit multi-adapter and multi-threading, Time Spy is a modern 3DMark benchmark that hints at GPU potential in today's latest games.

Much has been made of Nvidia's sumptuous Founders Edition board, yet if you plan to eke out every last drop, you can't go wrong with a big ol' beastie. MSI's Gaming X Trio is not only a smidgen quicker in the 3DMark tests, but also more consistent, as evidenced by a Stress Test score of 97.6 per cent. Remember, anything below 97 per cent is considered a fail in that particular benchmark.
