Here's the iTracker
software in the default state, clocking in at 400MHz/800MHz/600MHz in
2D and the usual 576MHz/1,242MHz/1,998MHz in 3D. GPU and memory
voltages are also default - 1.152V and 1.92V, respectively.
And the 'optimised' 3D profile, showing the slightly elevated clocks and (minor) increases in voltage. The fan-speed is set to auto, although that can be user-overridden at any time. The speed slider goes up to 800MHz core and 2,500MHz memory, as well.
One of ASUS much-touted features is the ability to reduce power-draw when in power-saving mode on the MATRIX range. The company reckons that the card allows 48 per cent power-saving when compared to any other reference board. It's a difficult boast to believe, as the voltages aren't cut in massive fashion, but we'll put it to the test during the benchmarking analysis.
