ATI has ensured that the X1800 XT 512MB card has enough core and memory speed to outrun even an overclocked GeForce 7800 GTX 256MB card. 490MHz core and 1250MHz memory isn't quite enough for the G70 to overhaul an R520, it seems. We'll see what firepower the 512MB iteration brings to the table. Note that SAPPHIRE's card is almost twice as fast at 1600x1200 4x AA 16x AF as a GeForce 6800 Ultra 256MB.
