Open-world gaming at its very best, Far Cry 3 redefines the genre through breathtaking visuals and first-class gameplay.

Our 2x AA and ultra settings look and play great at the two lower resolutions, and both cards are comfortably faster than, say, the Radeon R9 280X or GeForce GTX 770. Those wide backends and large memory pools keeps performance at reasonable levels when at 4K. The game looks fantastic and plays just about OK.

The 4K framerate is acceptable when walking around and exploring areas but certainly not high enough when engaged in intense firefights. This is a case of lacking sheer power more than any memory-related restrictions; the engine uses 2.3GB of the cards' framebuffer. The days of super-smooth 4K and high image quality on a single-GPU card have yet to come.
