Providing an excellent mix of strategy and action, Total War: Rome II's epic turn-based gameplay can swallow hours of your life.

Total War: Rome II is our last gaming benchmark and it puts an interesting twist on proceedings. Palit's GTX 770 OC continues to score well, but its closest rival in the charts - the stock-clocked R9 280X - is a noteworthy alternative. There's little to separate the two at 1080p, but at higher resolutions, the larger 3GB framebuffer available to the AMD card appears to be paying dividends. Worth keeping in mind if you'll be gaming with such lofty pixel counts.
