Power, Temperature and Noise

The under-load power consumption figure is comparable against the R9 280. Tonga uses a big die - 5bn transistors and 359mm² - so, in overclocked form, it's unlikely to be very power efficient.

Sapphire's Dual-X cooler has always been good; it has no problems in dealing with the Tonga GPU underneath.

And a huge cooler also pays dividends in the noise department. It very rarely gets what we'd class as loud.
