Overclocking
There's one simple reason why we enjoy overclocking GTX 980s - they all tend to ship with a decent amount of headroom and run at higher speeds with very little persuasion. Sticking to stock voltages, we managed to get the Galax GTX 980 SOC up to 1,375MHz on core (1,476MHz boost) and an effective 7,860MHz on memory.
At these speeds, we see performance jump by almost 10 per cent.
