Power, Temperature and Noise

Power consumption is in line with our expectations of a GTX 980 Ti overclocked at up to 1,241MHz.

Palit's oversized cooler appears to be doing the trick. An under-load temperature reading of 71ÂșC is very respectable, and we'd expect nothing less from a card of this size.

Here's what we like most. The Super JetStream is overclocked, runs fast, keeps cool, and crucially makes very little noise. The fans turn off at low load, meaning the card is practically silent until you start gaming, and when you do load up a game it never really gets loud.

Our log files show that fan speed hovered around a barely-audible 1,100rpm under load, and the icing on the cake is that Palit's card didn't suffer as badly from coil whine in the way that others have. You still notice it in certain titles, but it isn't a loud shriek.
