Far Cry & Painkiller

Far Cry

Vendor: UBI Soft - (Website)
API: DirectX 9.0
Pixel Shader Version Supported: Mix PS1.1, PS1.4, PS2.0 with PS2.0 forced

A lack of memory bandwidth, only having 128MB of onboard RAM, and a pipeline-generated deficit in pixel-pushing power combine to force the Glacier 6800's performance below that of a Radeon 9800 XT at the middle and highest settings. There's not that much in it, really.

Painkiller

Vendor: People Can Fly - (Website)
API: DX9.0
Pixel Shader Version Supported: Mix, unknown versions

It's been clear at the outset that 128MB of onboard memory makes the card's architecture a little lopsided. There's plenty of horsepower under the GPU, but there's not enough bandwidth or large enough frame-buffer to maximise the card's potential.
