Far Cry performance has been abysmal on AMD's HD 2000-series cards and that continues as we look at the HD 2600 XT duo.
Their architecture is such that we'd expect performance to match or better a GeForce 8600 GT but that's patently not the case here. Indeed, the frame rate is so bad that this long-in-the-tooth game is barely playable at either setting.
The GeCube's memory-bandwidth advantage isn't paying dividends here.
