CPU performance may have fallen short of expectations, yet the results from the GTX 1070 Max-Q graphics are right in line with expectations. As a reminder, the Max-Q GPU has the building blocks of a full-fat GTX 1070 but employs a low-voltage optimised frequency curve that lends itself to thin-and-light laptops. In other words, it's faster than a GTX 1060 but slower than a regular GTX 1070.

Gaming at the native 1080p resolution is no problem for a GPU of this ilk. Pick your game, crank the quality settings right up, and enjoy smooth gameplay rendered at up to 144Hz.
