Review: Gigabyte Aero 15 X9

That's strange. The major benefit of the i9-8950HK over the i7-8750H is that peak turbo frequency shifts from 4.1GHz to 4.8GHz. Going by specification, we'd expect the Aero 15 X9 to soar to the top of the PiFast chart, but for reasons we've not yet been able to explain, our sample doesn't hit those heights during the test. This remains a quick laptop, but we wonder if Gigabyte's tinkering in software is ultimately stifling results.
