Benchmarks: Display Brightness

One criticism of the previous-generation EliteBook was that peak brightness, measured at around 250 nits, left plenty of room for improvement. HP has righted that wrong by increasing brightness by over 37 per cent, making the EliteBook x360 1030 G3 far more suitable for outdoor or brightly lit environments.

The brighter display is welcome, however black levels and contrast are still below average. We wonder if a non-SureView panel would fare better in certain tests, but either way, HP's screen doesn't quite live up to the laptop's premium billing.
