Max-Q GPUs are intended to be a better fit for thin laptops such as the Aero 15 Classic, yet the RTX 2070 chip still gets toasty inside the Gigabyte chassis. Heat builds up quite rapidly, causing either CPU or GPU frequency to throttle, and the chassis becomes noticeably warm to the touch, especially in the area above the F10-F12 keys, where surface temperature reached 48ºC after a stint of gaming.

Enabling AI returned a peak GPU core temperature of 82ºC, with our logs also highlighting a more gradual rise in temp, however the dramatic rise in fan noise is a trade-off we would prefer not to make.
