ZenBook 14 UX434F might be a cute-little PC, but it packs plenty of punch beneath its svelte exterior. A fast Intel CPU, decent RAM, a 1TB M.2 SSD and dedicated GeForce MX250 graphics all combine to deliver system-wide performance that is best-in-class.

A 3DMark Sky Diver score of 9,374 is over 17 per cent quicker than the Radeon Vega 8-based ThinkPad T495s, giving the GeForce that extra bit of gaming credibility. Don't expect groundbreaking results, mind. With quality settings turned down to the lowest available presets, we managed 34 fps in Civilization VI: Gathering Storm, 28fps in Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and 31fps in Total War: Three Kingdoms.
