Benchmarks: Temperature and Noise
Putting significant power inside a thin-and-light gaming chassis brings additional challenges. The G14 does pretty well in the temperature stakes, though do be aware that our sample's fans remain active even when running on the battery and idling when on the 'Silent' preset. It's kind of frustrating when one is simply emailing or watching a video, so we'd recommend Asus find a way of shutting them down completely in such instances.
Under full gaming load, however, the unit does become quite loud as hot air is pushed out of relatively small vents.
