Headset and USB light

On to the headset, which has the same retractable cord system as the mouse.

The same thin cabling is used as with the mouse. There's a single ear piece and the microphone unit is in line, designed to hang roughly at the height of your mouth, much like the headset packaged with some mobile phones.

The sound quality is about all you can expect from a cheap-ish ear bud. The microphone is quite crackly. The winding mechanism is probably the most expensive part of the headset. Amacrox could have invested a little more in a better quality headset, but it's sufficient for occasional use, particularly if you need to make a quick Skype call.

The simplest accessory in the kit is a USB powered light.

No fancy cord retraction here, but there is a clip so that you can mount the light on your notebook, or elsewhere.

Two white LEDs provide the light, which is bright enough to light up a sheet of paper, or the laptop's keyboard, but little more.
