Benchmarks: Temperatures and Noise
Put a high-end Core i7 processor in a thin-and-light 13in laptop and chances are it'll run a little hot. CPU core temp reach 80ÂșC during testing, at which point clock speed is automatically reduced.
Though the laptop itself didn't feel too hot on our laps during use, there is another downside to the heat being produced: fan noise. The single internal fan ramps up noticeably and becomes loud during demanding workloads.
