Benchmarks: System and Gaming
Overall system performance is decent and, courtesy of a GeForce GTX 960M, there's gaming potential on offer, too. 3DMark records a 45 per cent performance increase over the MSI GS60 2PC, which if you recall came equipped with a Kepler-based GTX 860M.

The newer, Maxwell-based GTX 960M is a good step-up and there's an enjoyable gaming experience on offer. At a 1080p resolution, the Optimus VI is able to churn out most titles with a good dollop of image quality. The laptop does of course struggle to deliver smooth framerates at the native QHD+ resolution, but that's hardly a surprise. Consider the maximum resolution as helpful for productivity, while games are best played at 1080p on a GeForce GTX 960M.
