The GTX 1070 seems to get noticeably warmer than the GTX 980M in the SC17 chassis. EVGA managed to keep core temperatures down to comfortable levels, however the chassis does get quite warm to the touch and fan noise can be bothersome. You can barely hear any noise when the system is idle, but put the CPU or GPU to work and the fans are quick to kick into action and they do eventually get quite loud.
