Again, what we're seeing is the platform-wide advantages of moving over to the Core i7-8700K and Z370 combination.

The salient truth is that shifting from four cores to six provides, at best, a small advantage... unless the game is massively CPU dependant.

That said, the rise of streaming is a boon for more-core processors because the extra silicon can be used to encode video without hampering frame rate.
