We go for a more apples-to-apples comparison here by overclocking the Core i7 platform by a healthy degree. It gets a bit closer in the all-core Cinebench - though it simply cannot make up for fewer cores and threads - while it extends its gaming reach at 1080p.
AMD pushes far closer to the curve on the spec front, meaning no X470 motherboard is able to run an air-cooled Ryzen at an all-core 4.5GHz.
