Last but not least, having a high-performance WD Black NVMe drive in the primary slot gives really solid performance.
We also tested the quality of the large M.2 heatsink by running a 10-minute 4K torture test and noting the drive's temperature. It peaked at 61°C, compared to 72°C for the slot behind the motherboard. Perhaps more importantly, the drive's speed didn't diminish whether it is cooled by a heatsink or not.
