Notes

As a comparison, ABIT's Fatal1ty AN8 will be benchmarked against another ABIT board, this time the VIA K8T890-powered AX8. Completing the trio is an estabilshed Intel i925XE motherboard from EPoX and a Pentium 4 660 (3.6GHz, 2MB L2 cache) Prescott CPU. No problems to report during testing. Benchmarks were carried out three times and the highest and lowest results were discarded. The running speed of the setups was as follows:

3630.8MHz - EPoX 5LWA+ (i925XE) - Intel Pentium 4 660
2411.2MHz - ABIT Fatal1ty AN8 (nForce4 Ultra) - AMD Athlon 64 FX-53
2405.4MHz -ABIT AX8 (VIA K8T890) - AMD Athlon 64 FX-53
