Labouring an old point, but a comparative lack of latency/bandwidth will be most vividly portrayed in gaming tests. A newer BIOS release that allows the kind of fine-tuning present in the reference i945G board will wipe most of the 900-mark deficit away.
It's all down to BIOS settings, really.
