In terms of subsystem performance, we'd call the four as equal - though, admittedly, the nForce 790i SLI FTW once again falls ever-so-slightly behind in certain tests.

The FireWire connection on our Intel DX48BT2, unfortunately, wasn't playing nice and refused to recognise our choice of two external drives. Judging by the DFI board, however, it's clear to see that NVIDIA's chosen FireWire controller provides the best results.
