CPU Tests

Understanding that the base chipset is practically identical on the three boards that use an A10-5800K, performance is solid in this number-crunching test. However, putting the time into context, an Intel Core i5-3570K can complete the calculation in almost half the time.

AMD's A8-3870K is a last-generation part, superceded by the Trinity-based APUs. But you wouldn't know it by looking at the all-core Cinebench results; its CPU oomph is, oftentimes, greater than the newer FM2 chips'.

But taking a combination of CPU and GPU power, Gigabyte's £55 board puts up a class-matching performance in the all-round PCMark 7 evaluation.
