Benchmarks II

The gaming benchmarks stress most of the components in a motherboard. High bandwidth with low latencies and excellent AGP implementation are pre-requisites for decent performance. 3DMark 2001SE v330 kicks off proceedings.

The 200FSB 8RDA3+ and Barton XP3200 provide a decent boost over an XP2700/nForce2 combination. For a breakdown of the EPoX's scores head here. Pretty impressive from a benchmark that seems to favour an Intel outfit.

Serious Sam 2 run with a quality bias. No aniso' or AA though.

The EPoX chalks up another impressive showing here. Right on the heels of our performance leader.

Comanche's engine has never been a fan of AMD CPUs. Optimisations for SSE, perhaps ?. We'll let you decide after viewing the following graph.

The reasonable boost from 166FSB performance is of more interest to us.
