Benchmarks I

Benchmarking ahoy. As usual, we'll be starting with SiSoftware SANDRA's unbuffered integer memory benchmark.

The 'Fast' R/W option in BIOS allows the DFI to eke out a lead over the ABIT IC7-G. Remember that both are running the CPU at identical speeds. We're still gobsmacked by the P4P800's performance in this benchmark that's usually indicative of overall performance.

Pifast to 10m places next. We're using the older v4.1 for accurate comparisons with older CPU/motherboard combinations.

A reasonable showing here, especially with a sub-66s time.

The soon-to-be-replaced 3.0GHz P4 still manages to shave up to 8 seconds off and XP3200's time.

Closing in on 2 hours for this lengthy, popular activity. With similar clock speeds, low latency bandwidth is the all-important differentiating factor.
