Memory and storage performance

First up, it's ScienceMark 2.0, for a test of memory bandwidth and latency.

A reasonable score, although it is beaten by the 590 SLI-based Foxconn board. It does keep the reference Sturgeon at bay, however.

Essentially the same as with bandwidth, the K9N SLI Platinum sits between the Foxconn and ATI reference boards.

For storage benchmarks we didn't use the pre-built systems, due to the different hard drives in the systems.

BAM! Possibly the most exciting chart we've ever created. At least it proves the K9N's SATA channels are working correctly.

And then a surprise. There are some great burst rates to be had from this board, it seems.

All in all, the K9N more-or-less keeps up or exceeds its competition, and its SATA storage can pump the data through in nice fast bursts when required.
