3D performance

Time for us to play some games; the usual trio of Far Cry, SC:CT and Quake 4. Seeing as we're dealing with high-end cards, we've gone for fairly high resolutions. We've taken SCAN's system out of these results because all our other results have been from the second look we took at the system, in which there was a 7950 GX2, not a pair of 7900 GTXs, and the lower FPS scores from that don't really serve much purpose to us in this review. Please bear in mind that the ATI reference Sturgeon board is running a X1900 XT CrossFire setup, whereas the others run GeForce 7900 GTX SLI

CrossFire likes Far Cry and SC:CT, whereas SLI enjoys Quake 4. That aside, the K9N has 3D results that match up with its 2D figures. In Quake 4, however, it takes the lead for the first time since the SATA burst tests.
