Benchmarks II
The newer Hyperion set and the slight performance increase exhibited by the MSI over the EPoX KT600 should manifest itself via higher gaming benchmarks. 3DMark 2001SE v330 first.
Wow. The MSI gets reasonably close to the impressive DFI nForce2 Ultra 400. Something is certainly working in this KT600. For a breakdown of its scores, head here. However, the P4, running at 3.2GHz and on a Canterwood motherboard, simply smokes this benchmark. The EPoX's score is a bit of a mystery, though.
A more than reasonable showing in our Serious Sam 2 benchmark. The benchmark involves running through the Sierra De Chiapas demo, all with a quality bias.
Another P4 benefit sees the AMD boards trail behind. Another solid, dependable showing by the MSI.
