Memory tests and single-threaded performance

NVIDIA's had experience designing a memory controller for Intel's CPUs before. The nForce4 SLI x16 provided i965 chipset-matching bandwidth and latency figures. The updated nForce 590 SLI I.E. proves NVIDIA's technical prowess by matching the best that Intel i975X has to offer, according to ScienceMark 2.0. DASP tech. working well, it seems.

Taking those thoughts to the single-threaded Pifast test leaves a little to be desired. nForce 590 SLI I.E. is only around 5% slower but it's a significant gap. Note just how much faster the new Core 2 Extreme is in this benchmark when compared to the previous HEXUS.Pifast King, the AMD Athlon 64 FX-62 CPU.
