UT2003 now. Patched up to build 2225 and running a custom bot match at a non-default 800x600. This gaming test puts a heavy load on the subsystem's ability to crank out the geometry

This graph continues to highlight why the KV8-MAX3 was a needed board in ABIT's lineup. You can't argue with this kind of default speed. You'd need a 3.2GHz Extremely Extreme Edition (EEE. A stab at humour, btw) to keep up.

X² - The Threat is also run at 800x600 to minimise the impact of the graphics card. Chalk up another victory to the KV8-MAX3. ABIT's fastest consumer-level board ?. It's got a chance.

A small victory in Quake III rounds it off. The KV8-MAX3's benchmarks suggest that it's performing exactly how one would expect. We had a look at a number of S754 motherboards which were run with the older 9800 Pro. They also exhibited excellent gaming performance if one could manually manipulate RAM latencies. I'm going to bang on my proverbial drum and implore AMD to release Athlon 64 CPUs with 2800+ and 3000+ nomenclatures. Add in a sub-£200 price and let the CPUs' performance do all the talking. ABIT has been quick to release the potential in AMD's newer hybrid processors, and the KV8-MAX3 makes sure the enthusiast gets top performance for their dollar. We can't criticise it on the performance and stability fronts.
