System Tests

Our more CPU-oriented benchmarks will put the boards in some sort of performance order, based on their showing in the memory benchmarks on the previous page. Realstorm first, a 3D real-time raytracer, implemented entirely in software and run completely on the CPU.

The PX875P fends off the other two P4-based boards, all three trail the K8-based K8V though, Athlon 64 dominates Realstorm for the most part. So the PX875P can be fast, the memory tests shouldn't be too discouraging.

Another slight win for the Albatron here too, things are looking up. It's only marginally quicker than the P4S800E-D (SiS655TX), but it's quicker nonetheless.

A tie with the SiS655TX and a couple of seconds win over the DFI means early performance worries aren't too worrysome. The graphical tests paint the last third of our overall performance picture, after a quick look at Q3 performance, a system benchmark in the tested guise.

SiS655TX wins, mostly by virtue of more usable memory bandwidth.
