Bundle, Presentation and Manual

Let's talk about the bundle first. The bare feature set doesn't give much hope for a packed bundle and I've mentioned the lack of extra USB ports bundled with the review sample. All that's left in the box is the MagicTwin software manual, the motherboard manual, the CD with drivers and MagicTwin software, singular IDE and floppy ribbons and a lonely SATA data cable. The PS/2 dongles are a given, one for keyboards and one for any mice.

Enough to get you up and running but nothing else. The budget origins of the board scream at you.

Presentation wise, the box is large, featuring a transparent plastic clamshell to hold the board and bundle contents. I think I first saw such packaging with ABIT's AT7 MAX, and I've been yearning for it ever since.

The manuals aren't the best in the world, obviously translated from some other non-English tongue. They read fine for the most part, but the MagicTwin manual especially is pretty hard going in places. It's a good thing that the software is so intuitive.

Finally, where's the floppy disk for Windows XP install to the VT8237 SATA controller?
