Equipped with the latest BIOS, the X99-A edges out the X99-Deluxe in a couple of gaming benchmarks. These benchmarks are obtained by running a Core i7-5960X. To see how such a platform compares against a wide range of others, head on over to here. The X99 platform is marginally slower than Z97 in lightly-threaded games but quicker when the title can take advantage of the cores, as in Total War: Rome II.
