Power figures are within margin of error which is logical given that both boards have virtually identical specifications. The ASUS Z97 Pro Gamer doesn't have extra network controllers, storage controllers or any power-hungry features to drive power consumption up. It's a fairly barebones implementation of Z97 aside from the highly-customised audio.
