The presentation for ASUS's new AI-series boards, of which the K8N-E Deluxe is one such example, drops their usual mechanical animal design, in favour of something a little cleaner and more corporate.
The box alludes to what's inside, with ASUS's Deluxe moniker allowing you an educated guess as to what the bundle is like, based on past Deluxe models.
You get four SATA data cables, a pair of Y power splitters for four SATA power connectors, the excellent manual and quickstart guide, a copy of WinDVD Suite (WinDVD 5 Platinum, WinDVD Creator Platinum 2, WinRip 2), the ATX I/O backplane shield, a bag containing an ATA ribbon and a floppy ribbon and the I/O ports for the extra FireWire400, Gameport and USB2.0 connectors. Along with the board itself of course.
The manual is of the usual ASUS high quality. Easy to read, full of the right information and with no obvious bad translation into English, it's something that ASUS do well consistently. The quick start guide continues to receive high praise from me too.
