Benchmarks: Memory
Memory analysis revealed the Supermicro board to be a tad behind the competition and again this is a result of a BIOS quirk. When loading up the XMP profile for our Corsair memory kit the motherboard converts the 1,866MHz into 1,800MHz since the 1,866MHz frequency isn't available.
Supermicro issued a fix for the XMP bug and as the results show the new BIOS delivers memory performance that is competent with rival offerings. The slightly higher latency does, however, remain a bit of a mystery.
